Photography - Sniper Mode

Hello Blog world! I'm back and bored, went thru my old bookmarks and bwala! I saw my blogspot account digging its way to its grave under the digital webspace of the WWW. Well, this blog was created for one reason after all, escape from boredom (ennui breakout!).

I just got a new way to escape boredom during weekends and sometimes during busy work days... photography. I got my DSLR at last, actually a year ago, which I had been wishing for during my college days. I was hoping to have one to use it on our own little business, an online automotive magazine. Now, having one, I will maximize its capability to deliver WOW images. I go out and burn my shutter from time to time just to kill time and boredom.

Check out some of my collections at Flickr and Picasa. Also, did a little exploration in Blogger, damn this blog site has a lot of new plugins! now I got my own photo stream added under my blog site! How cool is that!

And so it is...

Its been a while since I posted a blog update, why? mainly because I'm not bored. 6 months has passed and a lot changed. Before I had time to surf the net, have my quick naps on the office and write blogs. Now, I only get to sleep and surf the net during Saturdays and Sundays.

Saturday, after sleeping the whole day I decided to open my laptop. I was exploring my desktop and folders and try to get something going to kill the time while waiting for my wife. No mails, no clients on my IM's and no nothing I can do. Basically, Im bored! My baby is out with her grandparents, so, I decided to download some music and revisit all my bookmarked sites. Now Im trying to write my mind out to kill boredom, rearranging my sentences to eat up time and hopefully finish this post.

So life goes on like this, bored.. busy.. bored.. BUSY (the past 6months) and hopefully I get to relax. We will never know...

New Headquarters

The long wait is over, we are now on our new HQ. New building, new table, new office setting and the best part is, it is located at the other side of our old office, Matina! Now I can say that this is an OFFICE! No reason to be hungry, we have dozens of canteens and food stations near the office not to mention Matina Town Square. Night shifts won't be so dull, when you look out the window you can now see people walking and cars! real cars I say! real cars not trucks!

Lots of reason to be scared though, the other side of our office wall is a dark blank unoccupied space. Night people started to share their experiences with our new resident white lady. New rule of the night, have a buddy beside you for different purposes. One is you can have someone to share your fear of dark places, another is so that you can have someone to sacrifice in case our lady in white shows up. By the way, I don't have a night buddy, want to apply?

Real R&R

Work, work, work, drink and work again. It's been a while since I had real R&R (Rest and Recreation). My last break was when I went to Samal with my wife, baby and barkada. Luckily, Melissa our bday girl decided to have a third episode of her week-long birthday celebration.

Waterworld was the first plan, but we decided to go to Seagull for "tamad" reasons. As far as i know, no one had regrets our last minute decision. We had fun on the beach. We got to bum around and drink our cold beer on the sands of Seagull. This is the life, escape from boredom and work, beer and sand all over!

Dark Rain

It started out as a clear and sunny day. A good day to plan for a night out to greet Halloween. Soldiers are ready to have their long waited RandR, looking forward to the taste of cold beer and the feel of Honolulu's sun. Then suddenly the camp was bombed by large droplets of rain. Skies was filled with giant black clouds. Dark rain has fallen, all hopes were gone. A trip to the balcony with a cup of coffee on Master Yoda's wisdom cup and a little smoking stick named Marlboro. Another boring night.. will I go home after my duty? It depends...

D-Day + 18: Old Habits

Its 8 o'clock. I just used my last nicotine stick. No more coffee. Reading and reviewing our Business Process given by Kiara or jetskier. Remembered "JARHEAD", like a soldier waiting for action I was staring at the bubbles on my foxhole.

Then a familiar "kring", YM window popped up. Its my old aw2spec buddy. They just opened a new forum for all Davao car addicts, not on our old aw2spec.com domain but on a free site. The old aw2spec died cause the GLD's (good looking dudes) don't have time to maintain it. All work no play really makes GLD dull dudes. Now after a year we are reconditioning our engines to start the forum craze again.

Another escape from boredom, elpatatas is back! Is this a sign for Davao's automotive scene to boom again? Does this mean more beer, more chicks?(atik lang), and going home at 5am? Everyone come back to Davao, "bawal sablay ulit"!
